Remi Momodu is a healthcare leader and Registered Nurse with a deep commitment to advancing mental health and wellness in Baltimore City. As the Chief Executive Officer and Administrator of Caring Hands Behavioral Health Center (CHBHC), she oversees a team dedicated to providing outpatient therapy, counseling, and supportive services that empower individuals and families to overcome behavioral health challenges.

Her leadership is built on a strong academic and professional foundation. She holds a B.Sc. in Criminal Justice (magna cum laude) from the University of Baltimore, a B.Sc. in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University, a Master’s in Healthcare Services Leadership and Management from the University of Maryland, and an MBA from the University of Baltimore and Towson University. This unique blend of healthcare expertise and administrative excellence enables her to lead CHBHC with both compassion and strategic vision.

Throughout her career, Ms. Momodu has remained dedicated to fairness, respect, and equality. She is committed to fostering an environment where patients receive individualized, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based care, ensuring that CHBHC continues to be a trusted partner in mental health and wellness for the Baltimore community.

Dr Ian Rutkofsky

Dr. Ian Rutkofsky, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist, author, and medical researcher recognized for his expertise in integrative and evidence-based mental health care and neuroscience. He is dedicated to treating a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, schizophrenia, Traumatic Brain Injury and emotional disorders, with a focus on improving both brain health and overall well-being.

Dr. Rutkofsky trained under world-renowned leaders in psychiatry and Integrative Medicine and brings a personalized, whole-person approach to treatment that combines traditional medication management with psychotherapy, supplements, brain imaging, and lifestyle interventions. His work emphasizes not only symptom relief but also resilience, performance, and long-term mental wellness.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Rutkofsky is the co-editor and author of multiple academic publications, including two textbooks.

He actively contributes to advancing psychiatric knowledge through writing, research, and medical education. He frequently collaborates with colleagues on innovative projects at the intersection of neuroscience, psychiatry, and wellness.

Funmi Opadina, PMHNP-BC, is a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience providing holistic, evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespan. She specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a broad range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizophrenia.

Guided by a deep commitment to mental wellness and patient advocacy, Funmi combines clinical expertise with empathetic listening to develop individualized treatment plans that empower clients on their path to healing. Her comprehensive approach integrates medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy—always emphasizing cultural sensitivity, dignity, and patient autonomy.

Beyond her clinical practice, Funmi is passionate about mental health education and community outreach. She actively participates in local wellness workshops and advocates for reducing stigma surrounding mental illness, particularly within underserved communities. She provides comprehensive evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, trauma-related conditions, and emotional or behavioral challenges.

With a strong background in rehabilitation counselling, he brings empathy, professionalism, and clinical expertise to his work, helping clients build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to lead fulfilling lives.

Best specializes in evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing and strengths-based recovery planning. He works collaboratively with clients to address emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial barriers, promoting growth through personalized, person-centered, and trauma-informed care. Whether assisting with crisis stabilization, vocational development, or community reintegration, Best remains focused on supporting each individual’s unique journey toward wellness.

She began her career providing administrative support at the front desk for a behavioral health agency, where her strong organizational skills and attention to detail quickly earned her increased responsibilities. As she transitioned into records management, Patricia excelled at maintaining accurate, secure, and confidential client documentation, ensuring compliance and quality service delivery.
